PROJECT BULAND BHARAT – NATION BUILDING


Genesis of Project Buland Bharat

Project Buland Bharat was launched by ‘Sun Shine – A Ray of Hope’ (SSROH) on 20 May 2011 to strength the nation by bringing in all round development in the person and the society per se. SSROH works to create a suitable environment for providing universal education to all; reduce child mortality rate, improve maternal health, combat communicable diseases and address other health related issues for a healthy nation through various programme. It is also an initiative to groom the youths especially children in communication skills, soft skills and personality development to make them a responsible citizen. All these efforts should also be directed to work for environment sustainability. We also intend to assist in execution of various government and UN programs on the issues.


Aim of Project Buland Bharat

Project Buland Bharat aims to achieve its Goal 1 (eradicate poverty and hunger), Goal 2 (provision of universal education), Goal 3 (promote gender equality and empower women), Goal 4 (reduce child mortality rate and improve maternal health), Goal 5 (combat communicable diseases and other health related issues), Goal 6 (work for environment sustainability) and Goal 7 (global partner in development of the society).

Buland Bharat - 1 : Financial Assistance to Dalit Slum Girl to Participate in International Kickboxing Championship in

Sri Lanka, 20 May 2011

Pune Mirror, a news daily of 20 May 2011 published the news of Sonam Khavale, a 19 year old dalit daughter of a housemaid residing in slum of Pune selected for Asian Level International SHAKTI Championship 2011 at Mt Livinia, Sri Lanka scheduled from 22 to 30 May 2011, who urgently needed Rs 30000 (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) for travel and documentation expenses as only Rs 6000 was borne by the Indian Federation. The slum girl could collect only Rs 5000 from local corporator, the mayor and other organizations, until SSROH came forward to assist her with the balance amount under its Project Udaan to give wings to touch the horizon. She was credited with Gold medal in Duck event, silver medals in Fight event and Stomach events of Kumite / Kata in District Level Karate Championship 2010. In Maharashtra State Shakti Championship 2011 (21-23 Jan 2011) she won gold medal in Kumite (Fight) group event. She continued to win silver medal in Fight event at National Level Shakti Championship 2011 (25-27 Feb 2011). Now it was turn to bring Gold medal for her nation at an international event. Unfortunately, the dream of dalit slum girl remained unfulfilled due to delayed delivery of passport by the authorities, inspite of all the help from SSROH.


Buland Bharat - 2 : Free Coaching to Children for Preparing for

Sainik School and Military School Entrance Exams at Allahabad,

15 August - 31 Dec 2011

The vocational training centre of SSROH at Allahabad imparts free coaching to prepare 06 children from poor and rural background with no wherewithal, with a facility to come to main stream. These children are identified through talent hunt from rural areas and coach them in subjects required for entrance exams for Sainik School and Military School. Moreover, the effort is on improving the IQ level of children to make them a better citizen and successful in life ahead.

Buland Bharat - 3 : Personality Development Capsules for Youths, 24 Oct – 05 Nov 2011

The youth from under privileged, rural and poor background who could manage to get basic and conventional education from schools are put through a Personality Development capsule to make them understand and hone the skills and qualities required to move forward with shoulder to shoulder with the privileged lot of the society. Their personalities are made strong enough to give them confidence and boost their moral to overcome the fear of unknown and weaknesses. So far, SSROH has groomed personality of twelve (12) youths to give them a boost in their professional life.

Buland Bharat - 4 : Counseling to Youths and Parents on Domestic Discord in Family

The youths were put through personality development classes to prepare them for interview to join the Indian Armed Forces as officers. The tools used to groom the youths were graphology, body language, behavioural and clinical psychology. The youths underwent grapho therapy where required. A total of six youths doing graduation from Pune attended the program. They honed communication skills, soft skills, social manners and etiquettes, public speaking skills, identification of own strengths and weaknesses to improve own personality for good.

Buland Bharat - 5 : Personality Development Classes for Youths to Join the Indian Armed Forces as Officers at Pune-

BULAND BHARAT - 6 : Two Days Special Seminar on Quality of Life for Village Couples at Allahabad on 28-29 Dec 2011

Having felt to improve the quality of life of couples living in villages to bring closer to the life of couples in urban areas, SSROH organized a two days special seminar at SSROH Centre in district Allahabad on 28 & 29 Dec 2011. The seminar benefitted a total of 20 couples (40 men / women) from villages of district Allahabad. The eminent speakers included Judge from district court, HoD from SEMAT and media personality. The couples were enlightened on the various facets of life with the existing government facilities and laws for a better life style of the couples and the family.

BULAND BHARAT - 7 : Seminar on ‘Help Nation Combat Terrorism’ at Pune on 06 Jan 2012

SSROH under its Project Buland Bharat has taken another strong step ahead to sensitize and prepare the youth of today to save the nation from terrorism to make it a stronger nation, where there is no place for terrorism in the name of nation, religion or politics. We are here to help the nation combat terrorism by making the youths aware to negate or foil any attempt of terrorists to create terror among the masses. A seminar was conducted in NMV High School and Junior College, a 130 years old school located in the most crowded market place of Pune. The seminar was attended by 100 students of classes XI and XII. The seminar was tailor made to make the youths understand the tactics and modus operandi of terrorists; do’s and don’ts for a responsible citizen; and lastly actions of occurrence. The seminar was well appreciated by the faculty and the students present.
